AIR-FLOW sandblasting

The AIR FLOW Master Piezon prophylaxis combiner from Swiss company EMS is a device combining an ultrasonic scaler and sandblaster. The handle is illuminated, which significantly improves the visibility of the treatment field, thus increasing the precision and accuracy of cleaning. The device has an external water container into which antiseptic liquids can be poured and gingival pocket rinsing can be performed without the need for other medicines. An additional advantage of the device is the availability of various types of sand used for sandblasting. This allows it to be adapted to the individual needs of the patient.

Reliable, fast and comfortable teeth cleaning thanks to the latest device equipped in Luxmed dentistry in Lublin in Radziwiłłowska and Koncertowa streets.

Main patient benefits:

  • Safety - the power of the device can be continuously adjusted and adapted to the possible hypersensitivity of some patients.
  • Removal of tartar without pain - tips working during scaling operate in a linear way without causing discomfort, known during the procedure with other devices.
  • Above-, near- and subgingival sandblasting - using appropriately selected sands and modes of work we can remove not only dark deposit and discolouration from the surface of teeth, but also bacterial biofilm near gums and in gum pockets (very important in periodontal diseases).

Subgingival sand blasting is also the best method for cleaning implant sites. Using a specialised sand for subgingival sandblasting removes up to 99% of biofilm from the surface of implants. This helps to prevent, stop and treat tissue inflammation around implants. The situation is analogous with pathological pockets in periodontal disease.
