  • The test material is blood.
  • The patient does not need to be fasting and it is advisable to drink a glass of water or bitter (unsweetened) tea about 30 minutes before the examination.

IgE antibodies are released in allergies and worms.
Importance of the test: early diagnosis of allergy in children, prognosis of future symptoms, differentiation of IgE-dependent from IgE-independent allergy.
