Healthy kidneys
The set of examinations included in the package allows the assessment of kidney function. Abnormal results may indicate various diseases of these organs - bacterial infections, kidney failure, gout. Thanks to the tests it is possible to diagnose the reasons for frequent urination or pain in the lumbar region.
- Kidney tests: Urea, Creatinine, Uric acid
- Urine culture
- Urinalysis

Kidney tests: Urea, Creatinine, Uric acid
Urea - is excreted by the kidneys. The concentration of urea in the blood depends on the protein supply of the food and the amount of urea excreted by the kidneys. Increased urea concentrations may indicate impaired renal excretory function, increased protein catabolism e.g. with glucocorticosteroids, hyperthyroidism.
Creatinine - is a substance formed during metabolic changes taking place in muscles. With normal kidney function, creatinine is filtered almost entirely through the glomeruli. The serum creatinine concentration provides an opportunity to assess kidney function.
Uric acid - formed during the breakdown of DNA and RNA acids, is excreted by the kidneys. When its concentration in the blood is too high, it precipitates in the form of crystals, which are the cause of pain in the joints (gout). Abnormal values of uric acid allow the diagnosis of gout, kidney failure, diseases with increased cell breakdown. The examination also controls the therapy of gout.

Urine culture
Urine culture allows the detection of a pathogenic microorganism and the determination of its sensitivity to antibiotics.
Urinalysis
Urinalysis indicates the functioning of the urinary system (state of the kidneys, urinary tract infections). It is an important supplement to blood tests.
