Description of the study
EMG electromyography is a study of neuromuscular connections in neurological and orthopaedic disorders.
Wstępem do badania EMG jest badanie Elektroneurograficzne (ENG). Badanie ENG wykonuje się w celu określenia czy występuje uszkodzenie nerwu lub nerwów obwodowych rąk lub nóg w przypadku ich bólu, osłabienia, uczucia pieczenia, mrowienia. Badanie określa również w którym miejscu nerw/nerwy są uszkodzone. Uzupełnieniem badania ENG jest badanie EMG. W badaniu EMG badane są również mięśnie, jeśli podejrzewana jest ich choroba, objawiająca się najczęściej bólem, osłabieniem, zanikiem mięśni.

Podczas ENG – elektrody nakleja się na skórę. Czasem konieczne jest wykonanie badania z użyciem jednorazowej igły.

Contraindications:
